We will host a fantastic evening of musical calamities as our very own customers take on the role of their favourite festive hit Stars!

If you are interested in performing a song, Karaoke style, be warned competition is stiff! All applicants are very welcome, the more the merrier!

So please get in touch if you have an idea for a Christmas hit you’d like to perform! We can’t wait to see the transformation!

There will also be a light buffet and a late bar so you won’t miss out if you want to watch the Wolves match, we won’t start without you!! Spread the word!!

Annual Bonfire and Fireworks – Sunday 4th November

Sunday 4th November – 6.30pm bonfire, 7.00pm fireworks.

We are pleased to invite you all to our Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display!

This year we are going to introduce the option to buy tickets before the event allowing you to beat the queue with easier, quicker access!

Tickets will go on sale from 10th October. These are non refundable so please do not lose them!

This year will see a bigger outdoor bar in the marquee, also a stall for glow sticks and sparklers making it much easier for you to find us and treat the little ones!

We will have a designated area for sparkler use to keep you all safe.

5th Annual Beer Festival – starts Friday 5th May

Our Annual Beer Festival kicks of in nostalgic style on Friday 25th May at 7pm with a reunion.

If you fancy a catch up with old team mates or drinking buddies from yesteryear then this is the ideal chance to all get together! With lots of delicious, carefully selected ales to choose from you can relax in the comfort of the Old Wulfs and ease yourself into the weekend.

Saturday sees the Old Wulfs Cricket at home to entertain you and fingers crossed you and the family can enjoy a day of sun in our beautiful surroundings. Bring picnic blankets and deck chairs and settle down for a few minutes of peace as the kids play on the bouncy castle! In the evening there will be some tasty curries served to go with those real ales and after the football on Sky we will have a Quiz Night. Get your teams together!

Sunday sees the truly spectacular event of the Vets Vs the Yoofs Cricket. For regular attendees of the Beer Festival you’ll know this is our fun day, let your hair down with no work on Monday! This years Sunday Cricket clash now sees the teams battling to win the Anne Box memorial trophy. An absolutely stunning bit of silverware kindly donated by Mick, Adam and Chloe to honour Anne in suitable style, she would love this as she liked nothing more than a relaxing afternoon with friends, watching the cricket. There will be a bbq and later the headline of the Beer Festival , The Divine Brothers will entertain with fantastic live music.

Monday we will be open for hair of the dog and soothing conversation to ease those sore heads! Pray for sunshine! We hope you can all make it!

New Years Eve – 8.00PM

Join us for a night of celebration with a fantastic Michael Bublé tribute act, Jamie Flanagan.
Jamie will perform an evening of Bublé hits including some seasonal faves followed by a disco.
There is the option to bring your own buffet although all drinks must be bought from the bar.
We have a great selection of ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
We would love you to join us and celebrate seeing in the New Year!

Halloween Drinks – Saturday 28th October

Join us, if you dare, for a few spooky drinks in the lounge at the Very Old Wulfs!


We have a devilish selection of drinks and a few ghoulish cocktails. Fancy dress optional but the staff will be just as scary as usual!


Feel free to bring your pumpkins!

A prize will go to the best carved pumpkin.

Bonfire and Fireworks – Sunday 5th November

Old Wulfrunians Club Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display.

We would like to invite you to our Annual Bonfire And Fireworks Display on Sunday the 5th November 2017.

Once again we hope to entertain you all with a great display! We will be also offering a fantastic drinks selection from our bars, inside the cosy club house and from our handy pop up outdoor bar. Our hot cider made to our own secret recipe will also be available as well as tea’s, coffee’s, hot chocolate, pop, guest ales, lagers and spirits. We also have introduced a wonderful range of Gins to help keep the cold at bay!

There will be burgers and hotdogs from our BBQ, a sweet stall and the always popular sparklers and glow sticks! We are also arranging some after display entertainment for you to enjoy during which our Annual raffle will be drawn. Last year was a wonderful event and we hope you can all come along to help make this year another memorable Bonfire night.

The Bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm . Fireworks display will start at 7pm. See you there!!

Old Wulfrunians Club 50th Anniversary – 1st September

On Friday 1st September 2017 the Old Wulfrunians Club at Castlecroft is celebratng the
50
th anniversary of the opening of their clubhouse. Established in 1951 the original
members met in rented rooms above Barclays Bank in Queen Square, Wolverhampton. They eventually managed to commission a new purpose built clubhouse on the
sports ground owned by Old Wulfrunians, opening on 1
st September 1967.

Masai Graham
A comedian from West Bromwich has won this year’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe Award, hosted by TV network Dave. Stand-up comic Masai Graham has bagged the annual award, joining the ranks of previous winners such as Tim Vine, Rob Auton and Nick Helm.

The comedian, who calls himself “General Punochet”, was previously named the UK’s “Pun Champion” after winning a tournament hosted by Lee Nelson at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February.

Old Wulfrunians Annual Beer Festival – Friday 26th May – Monday 29th May 2017

Once again we will be hosting our annual beer festival and hope you all join us for a great selection of ales and lots of entertainment and good food.

Friday 26th kicks off with a Gary Barlow tribute night. Stu Clements will perform some of Gary Barlow and Take That’s greatest hits. This is a ticket event so get yours quick. The bar will be open as usual for you to enjoy the beers and catch up with friends.

Saturday 27th has us letting our hair down to music by rock band One For The Road.

Sunday 28th Cricket chaos as the Oldies Vs the Youth of Today! Later, be prepared to laugh your socks off with our comedy night. 3 fantastic comedians will guarentee a great night.

007 New Years Eve Party – 8pm til 1am

This years New Years Eve Party has a Bond theme. So whether you fancy dressing up all Casino Royale or as a Bond villain, the choice is yours. We will have roulette and poker in our snooker room as well as music, dancing and karaoke in the function room. You’ll be shaken not stirred by our fab choice of cocktails and for those with a bit of Shirley Bassey about them you can belt out a few bond tunes on the karaoke.
